We have an exciting new addition to our line-up of hand-crafted products! Artisan Drumworks is now offering custom wood hoops in your choice of wood species for snare drums, tom toms, and bass drums. These hoops are handcrafted in several choices of domestic and exotic wood species. Our custom hoops feature counter-sunk tension rod heads, drum head collars that are tucked nicely underneath, and either rounded top edges or profiling that resembles die-cast hoops.

A very notable characteristic of our solid wood hoops is a definable pitch that contributes nicely to the singing of our stave shells. Contrasted to triple flange, die-cast, and multi-ply hoops, there is a marked difference in that they actually produce a tone in and of themselves. Adding a pair of these to your drum is certain to open up the sound and produce a voice previously unheard. When mated with our stave shells, sound doesn’t get any finer.
