"I've been playing the drums for 47 years. When I received my 5.5"x13" snare I was amazed at the quality of construction. The afican bulbinga is beautiful and I've seen stave drums before (and actually own one now from another company). The staves are assembled so well and flawlessly that I thought it was a plywood shell. I had to call you just to make sure I got what I wanted. Anyway, it looks great. THEN I played it! What a nice pop with great depth. I don't have to work as hard playing this drum, either. I love it and I'll probably be calling soon about getting a full kit."

Use this option in combination with your Snare Drum purchase to add a custom Exotic Wood Species. Exotics include African Bubinga, Leopardwood, Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry), and African Mahogany.
Premium Exotics are Cocobolo and Honduran Rosewood.

We offer four different plated finish choices according to your preference. All tom brackets, spurs, strainer and butt, hoops and lugs can be finished for a perfect match and unique appearance. EdgeCraft (I.R.R.) is an integral reinforcement ring that is lathed in during the turning process of your drum shell. Add this to your snare drum purchase as a custom option. Read more by clicking "more details."

EdgeCraft (I.R.R.)More Details
EdgeCraft I.R.R. is a re-inforcement ring cut during the lathing process that is an integral part of the shell, not a glue-in ring. The benefit of I.R.R. is the strength and rigidity gained where it is needed, at the outside edges of the shell. This feature allows for the overall body of the shell to be thinner which produces a lower fundamental pitch and maximum resonance. The net effect is a richer, beefier, and more musical tone.

Since the inception of this feature, it has grown to be a mainstay in our shell construction process and is ordered for nearly every custom drum we make. We HIGHLY recommend EdgeCraft.
