I attend a large church in the Baltimore area. The auditorium seats 1100, 3 services, full sound system, in ear monitors, etc... I am on the worship team this weekend and decided to bring the Artisan Drumworks Jarrah snare to rehearsal Wed. night. When we were finishing up the sound guy came up to me and said "That is the best sounding snare drum I have ever heard in here!" (Keep in mind we have 2 house kits a Yamaha Absolute Maple & Recording Custom. Also many of the drummers bring in their own snare drums).
